About The Area
Rusholme
The infamous curry mile! Rusholme is the last stop before passing the University of Manchester and then on into the city centre. The main Wilmslow/Oxford Rd (B5093) runs straight through Rusholme meaning no shortage of public transportation. Although Rusholme is closer then say Fallowfield or Withington, the property prices tend to be lower then the latter. Many of our houses to rent are located in Rusholme and the majority are within a couple of minutes walk to the main road.
Fallowfield
Located just after Rusholme on the Wilmslow Rd artery, Fallowfield has earned itself the reputation of student capital of Manchester! A large proportion of our student accommodation is located in Fallowfield. With its variety of bars and take aways if you like hustle and bustle, Fallowfield is the place to be!
Withington
Located one stop further from Fallowfield, Withington is a quieter area. Preferred by professionals and 3rd/4th year students. Still located on the Wilmslow Rd artery there is no shortage of public transportation. Withington does also have its fair share of bars and pubs as well as a public library and plenty more amenities.
West Didsbury
Situated between Wilmslow Rd and Princess Rd, West Didsbury is classed as a more up market area. With properties always in demand but not always available, it is an extremely sought after area. With plenty of chic cafes and bars, local supermarkets, restaurants and also a vibrant night life West Didsbury is really the place to be. Preferred by professionals as it is in extremely close proximity to the motorway network (M56 and M60). Burton Rd is the main rd. running straight through, public transport is always available there is also a newly finished tram link station situated here too meaning easy access to the city centre.
Didsbury
The last stop on the Wilmslow Rd artery. There is an abundance of bars and restaurants and coffee shops catering to young professionals. All the well-known pub and restaurant chains are in Didsbury and it also has a bustling nightlife especially at the weekends. It is close to cinemas, health clubs, bowling alley, casino and train station. Preferred predominantly by professionals, properties available are limited and rents are slightly higher due to the areas reputation.
Whalley Range
This is a fairly quiet area boasting leafy streets and a family community feel but close to bus routes to Chorlton and Town Centre. Most of the properties are flats with secure parking and usually rent out quickly. Preferred by professionals with their own transport as it brings the road network (Princess Rd) and access to the motorways (M56 and M60) within easy reach. Alexandra Park is located in Whalley Range and there are plenty of local shops and amenities.
Chorlton
Along with Didsbury, Chorlton has become one of the most sought after areas in South Manchester. Appealing mainly to families and professionals, the centre is very cosmopolitan with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. There is an extremely good transport link through Chorlton from buses to the recently finished tram link taking you straight to the city centre. With plenty of places to visit only a few miles from Chorlton, including Old Trafford and The Trafford Centre, it is the perfect location to be close enough but not too close to everything.
Chorlton-on-Medlock & Victoria Park
Close to Rusholme and within walking distance of the hospital and Universities. It is ideal for both professionals and students. There is a very good bus service to the town centre and East Didsbury where there are cinemas, bowling alley, health club and casino!
A mixture of flats and houses are available and is usually preferred by people working at the Hospital and Universities who prefer the option of walking to work or to suit their shift pattern working day.
